  The 1850 U.S. Census has Daniel being born in 1817. Frederick County, Maryland turned into Carroll County, Maryland. When Daniel was born it was still known as Frederick County. All records show it being Carroll County, Maryland. I have chosen to go with the county it was when he was born. It appears he is a descendant of German ancestry as her father's name is Johannes.
