  (Research):While researching this family, I noticed that their last name from 1840 to 1860 was Sanders in the census records. In 1870 the last name changes to Saunders. I do have a general index to marriages in fleming county that has most of these people as Saunders. But, I would not hesitate to look in the Sanders general index if you have access to it. I do not know if the change in the name is because the census recorder misspelled the name or if they changed their name and it was also spelled wrong in the general index to marriages in fleming county.
